NEW PATIENT – Initial Naturopathic Consultation

75 minutes | $225

All new patients seeking naturopathic care at Ellastone Health begin with an Initial Naturopathic Consultation.

Your first appointment gives us the time to get to know you and understand the bigger picture of your health.

We'll take a detailed look at your current health concerns, personal and family health history, medications and supplements, nutrition, sleep, stress, lifestyle and health goals. Recent bloodwork, imaging and other relevant medical reports can also be reviewed.

For in-person appointments, a physical examination may be performed when clinically appropriate.

We'll discuss your priorities, initial recommendations and whether additional blood work, assessment or follow-up may be helpful.

The goal is for you to leave with a better understanding of your health, clear next steps and a personalized plan for moving forward.

New to Ellastone Health and looking for naturopathic care? This is the appointment to book.

If you are new to Ellastone Health and are seeking acupuncture only, please select the Initial Acupuncture Appointment instead.

Naturopathic Follow-Up

30 minutes | $100

For existing naturopathic patients.

Your follow-up gives us time to review your progress and continue your care.

We'll discuss how you've been feeling, what's working, any changes or new concerns since your last appointment, and make adjustments to your treatment plan where appropriate.

This appointment is ideal for routine follow-ups, focused concerns and ongoing treatment management.

Extended Naturopathic Follow-Up

45 minutes | $150

For existing naturopathic patients who need a little more time.

Choose an extended follow-up when you have several concerns you'd like to discuss, need a more detailed review of bloodwork, would benefit from additional counselling and emotional support, or your treatment plan requires a more comprehensive reassessment.

If you feel that 30 minutes may not give us enough time to cover everything you'd like to discuss, this is the appointment to choose.

Acupuncture

You don't need to complete the 75-minute Initial Naturopathic Consultation if you are coming to Ellastone Health specifically for acupuncture.

Important Insurance Information

Acupuncture at Ellastone Health is provided by Dr. Meera Suchdev, ND, in her capacity as a registered Naturopathic Doctor.

Acupuncture appointments are therefore billed and receipted as naturopathic services and should be submitted under the Naturopathic Doctor/Naturopath portion of your extended health benefits.

They are not billed under separate acupuncture benefits that your insurance plan may provide for services from a separately registered acupuncturist or Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner.

Insurance coverage varies between plans. If you intend to submit your acupuncture appointment for reimbursement, please check that you have coverage for naturopathic services before booking.

NEW PATIENT – Initial Acupuncture Appointment

60 minutes | $150

If you are new to Ellastone Health and are seeking acupuncture only, this is the appointment to book.

Your first acupuncture appointment includes a focused health assessment to ensure that acupuncture is appropriate and safe for you, followed by an individualized acupuncture treatment.

We'll discuss your primary concern, relevant health history, medications and supplements, and any factors that may affect your treatment.

Your assessment may incorporate principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), including areas such as sleep, digestion, energy, stress, menstrual health and emotional wellbeing. Traditional assessment methods, including examination of the tongue and pulse, may also be used when appropriate.

Your acupuncture points will be selected according to your individual presentation and treatment goals.

Acupuncture Follow-Up

45 minutes | $110

For patients who have already completed their initial acupuncture assessment.

We'll briefly review how you've been feeling, any changes in your symptoms and your response to previous treatment before beginning your individualized acupuncture session.

Acupuncture may be incorporated into care for concerns such as stress and tension, muscular pain, sleep difficulties, digestive health, menstrual and hormonal concerns, fertility and overall wellbeing.

Please remember that acupuncture appointments are billed and receipted as naturopathic services.

Insurance Coverage

You May Already Have Coverage

Many extended health insurance plans include coverage for services provided by a registered Naturopathic Doctor (ND) — and you may have benefits available that you're not currently using.

A receipt will be provided following your appointment for submission to your insurance provider.

Coverage varies between insurance providers and individual plans, so I encourage you to check your extended health benefits and look for “Naturopath” or “Naturopathic Doctor.”

Please note that Ellastone Health cannot guarantee reimbursement by your insurance provider. It is the patient's responsibility to confirm their individual coverage.

Cancellation Policy

Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours' notice.

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, as well as missed appointments, may be charged the full appointment fee.

This allows the appointment time to be offered to another patient who may be waiting for care.
